At a request of jake28 I've added functionality to scroll horizontally and to control scroll speed. I've added options to configure this. Furthermore, I've cleaned up the module code, the javascript and the css.

I've added a multi-file patch for these changes.

The new files needed are left out of the patch, so I've attached the complete module as a tar-ball.

Thank you, gjmjr. This patch works exceptionally well. The choices broaden the ticker module's functionality without affecting load time. THe code is clean with no errors. I think a lot of users could benefit from the above patch. Perfect for e-zines.

Thanks. I just had to change the line so that the module would still work form /sites, but everything else was fine.

You forgot to include the new files in the distribution of 20060822: taxonomy_ticker_horizontally.js and taxonomy_ticker_horizontally.css.
