I agree it would be handy to have the sizes used for displaying videos, and if autoplay is on or not, as some kind of presets (similar to the presets of imagecache) which you can configure outside the field widget settings. Inside the field widget settings you should not do any display configuration IMHO, except for the selection of a preview preset.

This would be great. A common scenario is to have one full size and two different preview sizes for a thumbnail overview and featured video in sidebar for example.
