A user on my website reports not being able to post to a forum. He's loged in and reached the forum post page
http://www.its.org/node/add/forum/ (you'll have to register to get that far)
but the drop-down menu (he tells me) is broken and shows no forum choices. I've checked it works under various other browsers & OSs, but I don't have access to a mac and he's using:

Browser info : Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060426 Firefox/1.5.0.3

I'm guessing it is a theme issue? I'm using a very slightly modified slash theme.

What I really need is a way to see the the pages from a Mac point of view! Any suggestions?

- Thanks, Cronin

Tell him to email you a screen shot. Cmd-Shift-3.. the file is saved onto the desktop. It's kinda rare for Firefox to stray from one platform to another. Double check the mark-up, see if it validates and try to get a screen cap.

The user could (if they were willing) to install the Save Generated Page extension, then save the page and send you the code he is receiving. But that would take some steps on their part.

The extension is at: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2262/

It doesn't seem to be a browser/platform issue to me.. I just registered and can't see anything in the forums select box (in safari or firefox)... you might want to check your permissions... try creating a new user and doing it yourself..

My bad! Thought I had created a user and tested that, but it seems not! I had set permission to create forum topics in the forums, but no in the 'containers' for the forums. I figured I didn't want people posting in the containers, but it seems you have to set create permissions in the container or the forums underneath do not show in in the add forums sections. Just part of the learning curve.

Thanks for checking the site for me.
