The General discussion forum is for general discussion about Drupal-related topics. It is not for support questions. Nor can it be used for posts about products and services not related to Drupal..

Please see "Where do I post support questions?" below to learn what forum to use for support questions.

Posts that are not Drupal-related, including posts about non-Drupal products and services, are considered spam and will be summarily deleted, and the poster's account here will be blocked.

The forum is looked after by gisle and some other site moderators. We keep an active eye on this forum (mainly to delete spam), but feel free to contact us through the site moderators issue queue if you have any questions or concerns.

Before posting here, you must read How to ask for support from the Drupal community. Below are some additional guidance specific to this forum.

May I link to an external website?

No.

Please do not post a link to your own, or any other external website when posting in this forum. First: Linkrot is a real problem. Websites change over time and may be taken down. When this happens, the information pointed to by the link is no longer available. Always provide enough context to make your posting useful without the link. Second: Some links are spam. Our spam-filter is wary about links, and will automatically unpublish your post if it detects a spam-link. Drupal.org site moderators will also redact (delete) links.

Where do I post support questions?

Please note that the General discussion forum is not for Drupal support questions.

  • If you want to convert your present website to Drupal, support questions about conversion should be placed in the Converting to Drupal forum.
  • If you've already installed Drupal, and have questions about something specific to a Drupal installation, support questions should be placed in the Post installation forum.
  • If you've not installed Drupal yet, consider the Before you start forum.
  • If you have a support question for a specific module, consider using the module's own issue queue.

Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
