I am working on an open atrium site and it has spaces presets for site/user/og and it's always redirecting to the user profile which doesn't make sense to me I don't know where to change this.

UPDATE: It looks like the spaces profile feature is the one that's redirecting, I don't understand where to configure it.

Basically the url when I login shows spaces-username/profile/, but I can't find where that is set.

ok sorry, its not a profile feature, atrium calls it that, but the profile is a space and a content type and an organic group and a profile - i still cant find out why this space is the default homepage.

Redirecting the user to their profile is the default behavior for logging into a drupal site. I'm guessing that if there is a problem it is that spaces is not redirecting at all, and not that it is redirecting to the wrong place.

Have you successfully set it up profile_spaces so that a user can chose which features are enabled for their own space?

i found out what is is. the atrium 'members' feature being disabled is what causes the redirect to the profile. i dont know what is in the members features that's causing that.
