We are building a new left-aligned, collapsable, vertical sidebar navigation for Drupal's admin UI that is aimed to replace the current Toolbar.
The longer-term goal is to propose the new navigation for Drupal core as part of #3373303: [PLAN] Administration UX improvements.
For now, this module works with Drupal core 10.1.x and beyond.
