sunYeah. Drupal 5 is old. jQuery in Drupal 5 is old. Usage statistics for 5.x are so small that I do not want to care. I maintained this back-port primarily for own projects only. Adding this dependency information for 5.x only will most likely confuse the majority of 6.x users, which are already confused by the overall dependencies between compatible modules. :(
