Yeah. Drupal 5 is old. jQuery in Drupal 5 is old. Usage statistics for 5.x are so small that I do not want to care. I maintained this back-port primarily for own projects only. Adding this dependency information for 5.x only will most likely confuse the majority of 6.x users, which are already confused by the overall dependencies between compatible modules. :(

Please document it on project home. Don't forget that update_status is not installed on all Drupal 5 sites.

I will consider it when people make suggestions for the entire Dependencies block. I've already stated why I did not list the dependency.
