Great module. However, I recently found that I was only able to make user relationships node access function work when I had the ACL module installed. I had installed that module for use with the Content Access module. I turned both off when I installed User Relationships for fear they would interfere. Without the ACL module, though, the User Relationships Node Access function would not work--I tried to make a node open to friends, then logged in as the friend and tried to see the post, result: 404 error. Maybe I missed something in the documentation?

alex.k CreditAttribution: alex.k commentedStrange... UR Node Access can only allow, not deny access to nodes. Typically the denying part would be done by Organic Groups, or another module. And 404 is not the error it would produce, if access were denied. Please post screenshots... also check with Devel Node Access which module is actually causing access to be denied.

halver CreditAttribution: halver commentedThanks for your fast reply. I'm now more confused than ever. ACL may be a red herring. Perhaps it had to do with the fact that switching ACL on and off required me to rebuild node access permissions?
Also, it was not a 404 error. So sorry. It was just access denied.
I suspect this whole thing is user error. I hope you can help.
In any case, Devel module has come up with some info that I hope may clarify.
There are two related issues.
1) the error pictured in the attached screenshot errror.png. This showed up when I signed in as a test user and tried to view content the test user himself had created.
2) Although test user was a friend of the site administrator, the test user was denied access to the post of the site administrator. I could not get devel module to show node access table when access was denied, for some reason. But I have included a picture of the Devel module table from the perspective of the site administrator as DevelNATable.png. The User Relationships Node Access checkboxes are shown in URNACheckboxes.png. The permissions are shown in UserPermissions.png. test user is a 'standard user'
Thanks for your help.
