Currently the preset add and edit forms are separate (imagecache_ui_preset_add_form and imagecache_ui_preset_form). It's redundant and seems like a recipe for bugs (actually it looks like on edit you can specify any preset name you like even if it'd create duplicates or use invalid characters). So I'd like to merge the two.
