Invite and Auto assign role

Hello,
I use two roles on the site.
The first role is assigned to users in the registration (choice of role is required).
The second role is assigned to the invitation.
Question:
Tell me please, how to avoid conflict in a situation where at the time of registration the user must select the required field with the other role (losing the role which has been invited)
