Currently, there is a bit of confusion over the current states of the 6.x-2.x dev branch, 6.x-2.1 release and 6.x-3.x dev branch. Unfortunately, during the drupal.org redesign process, Homebox recieved a large number of relatively undocumented changes that have resulted in a large number of commits against the 6.x-2.x-dev branch that should have been placed in a new 6.x-3.x branch. Unfortunately, this means that 6.x-2.x-dev and the stable 6.x-2.1 release are not particularly closely related, especially in the UI portions.
