This is regarding the Subscription Manager contrib module: https://www.drupal.org/project/subscription_manager/

grasmash granted me co-maintainer access a while ago, after we had occasional discussions in Slack. After I started working on it (some time later), I contacted him in Slack to ask him for his feedback on the roadmap I created (#3616939: Stable release roadmap). He never responded; he did consistently in the past.

I then kept working through the roadmap, but eventually realized that I didn't have sufficient permissions. So I sent him a couple of messages on September 2nd using his contact form:

Hi grasmash,

I'd like to change the merge request (MR) merge style to merge commits instead of fast forward (so that entire issues can be reverted via the merge commit, if necessary), but I don't have permission to do this.

As per https://git.drupalcode.org/project/drupalorg/-/work_items/3589799, I also need the Administer Maintainers permission on drupal.org (or the Maintainer role granted in GitLab).

Kindly set me up?

Not sure if you got my earlier Slack messages, but I'm now working on the Roadmap (https://www.drupal.org/project/subscription_manager/issues/3616939). First issue is done, now working on the second one...

Hi again,

I just realized that I don't have permission to cut releases.

A release node was never created for
https://git.drupalcode.org/project/subscription_manager/-/tags/1.0.0-beta3,
so I was going to do that first, and then cut a beta4 (because Phase 1 of the
stable release roadmap is done -
https://www.drupal.org/project/subscription_manager/issues/3616939).

Kindly add this permission too?

He hasn't responded to either of these either, so nothing from him in a while, and I doubt he's looking at the issue queue because he initially wanted to know what changes I needed, but then never provided feedback on the roadmap.

As such, please grant me full maintainer permissions.

(I'm sending him a link to this too via his contact form and PMing him on Slack, just in case it helps.)

Hey, sorry I missed your messages! I think I just granted you permission to administer releases, but I'm on my phone, and Drupal.org's permissions settings don't seem mobile-friendly. I can't actually read the column headers. Hopefully I checked the right box. Let me know if it works.

That partially worked (thanks) as I can administer releases now, but I still need either:

  • the Administer Maintainers permission on drupal.org, or
  • the Maintainer role granted in GitLab

... to change the merge request (MR) merge style to merge commits instead of fast forward (so that entire issues can be reverted via the merge commit, if they're causing problems).
