The delete button on node edit has stopped working. I see the save button becomes loading... and then it redirects to the node view, having not been deleted.

This issue has been fixed in 6.x-1.9 which is now available. In this release I have also broken out the admin functionality into a separate module, so be sure to read the new usage instructions as some things have changed.
