dark05 commentedHi,
I'm experiencing the exact same issue after upgrading taxonomy_menu from 3.7 to 3.8 on Drupal 11. All taxonomy menu items are placed at the root of the menu instead of under their configured parent menu item.
After investigation, the problem is in the menu_tree table: the parent column is empty for all taxonomy menu plugin links, even when a menu_parent is correctly configured.
Would it be possible to provide a patch or merge request to fix this? In the meantime I had to revert to 3.7.

deg commentedI am experiencing the same issue on two different sites as well.

deasly commentedCurrent Merge Request !23 works for me in 11.3.10 as well as a 10.6.9 site. I didn't try the unit test. But good to include one for a regression like this. Only issue is if you already pushed it up on a site you have to re-save your taxonomy menu entities to re-flow them where they should be on each environment. Might want to include and update hook that rebuilds the taxonomy menus for each type so that doesn't need to be done.

Tested and working!
Thanks for the fix.

yan commentedI had the same problem and I can confirm that the fix in the MR solves it.

anybodySame issue here, this is entirely broken! Any maintainer? Hard to see that critical issue being unresolved for > 6 months! ;)
