✅ I tested this on:

Drupal 10.x

Video Embed Field 8.x-2.5

YouTube video using the embed field

✅ Result:

Video plays correctly

Error 153 does not appear

No referrer policy problems detected

⚠️ Therefore: This issue does not seem reproducible.

I have the same issue. It’s happening on the production server but not on the testing server, so it seems that YouTube has tightened the enforcement of existing embed requirements (origin/referrer), at least partially, on some domains without any announcement.

I found the same issue created 6 days ago in stackoverflow: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/79802987/youtube-error-153-video-player-configuration-error-when-embedding-youtube-video

Looks like it has already been fixed: #3550450: Add referrerpolicy attribute.
