Problem/Motivation

The module currently only works with Drupal 8 and 9, which are both now End Of Life. A patch for Drupal 10 was made available in January 2024, but 16 months later still has not been merged and released by the existing module maintainers.

The dependency on the Drupal 8-only module multiline_config should be dropped as well.

The project page and README file could also do with more information, including how to use the module, with a screenshot or two, and a project logo (probably just the Humans TXT logo) could be added. The README.txt could be updated to a README.md, and a CHANGELOG.md should also be created and maintained.

A version for Drupal 11 should also be released, with a Drupal 12 release in after that.

A Drupal block could be made available that allows easy insertion of the Humans TXT logo (which would link to the /humans.txt page) into the Drupal website.

Proposed resolution

I already maintain a few other modules, and so could become a maintainer of this one too, in order to get the changes above made ASAP. I have already opted into security advisory coverage.

This is the message I sent.

Hello Pedro,

I am contacting you because Dave (https://www.drupal.org/u/natts) offered to become maintainer for Humans.txt (https://www.drupal.org/project/humanstxt), a project you created for which you are project owner and maintainer.

May you post a comment on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3524800 about accepting or declining the offer? Please do not reply via email; we need a reply on the offer issue.
Without a comment posted on that issue in the next 14 days, Dave will be probably made maintainer.

Project moderators will not remove the existing maintainers/co-maintainers; the project owner will not be replaced either. Maintainers cannot change the project owner; co-maintainers/maintainers can only be removed/added by people who have the permission to administer co-maintainers/maintainers.

I am contacting all the people who can administer co-maintainers/maintainers for the project.

As last note: This offer is about being maintainer, which is different from being co-maintainer. A maintainer is a person who has all the drupal.org permissions on a project: Write to VCS, Edit project, Administer maintainers, Maintain issues, Administer releases. A person who does not have all those permissions is a co-maintainer.
If there is any reason for not giving all those permissions, please explain that on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3524800. We need this to know it was intentional and not a misunderstanding on what the offer required.

Best regards,
Alberto Paderno
