------------------- UPDATE 2025-03-14
We have waited 2 weeks since posting this offer to take over the Intranet project. We have also attempted to contact the current owner/maintainers, but we have received no response so far. We are still interested in becoming the new owner of this project and continuing its development.
Following the guidelines at https://www.drupal.org/docs/develop/managing-a-drupalorg-theme-module-or..., we are now moving this issue to the Drupal.org project ownership queue so that the moderators can review our request.
Thank you
------------------- ORIGINAL POST
Hello,
We are Droptica, a Drupal agency from Poland with a strong track record of maintaining open-source Drupal projects. For example, we developed and actively maintain the Droopler distribution ( https://www.drupal.org/project/droopler ) since 2018.
We also have public announcements ( https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7297976944640360448/ ) about a new Intranet solution we’ve built on Drupal, which we are planning to share with the community.
We noticed that this Intranet project ( https://www.drupal.org/project/intranet ) has had no recent commits or active maintenance for about 10 years. We would like to offer our help to take ownership of this namespace and continue its development as an open-source Intranet distribution for Drupal.
Our distribution is almost ready (we plan to finalize the code within the next 3-6 weeks). We have a dedicated team and a strong commitment to providing regular updates, security fixes, and support for the community—similarly to how we handle our Droopler project. We have already attempted to reach out to the current owner via email (today) kindly requesting their feedback or approval.
If the current owner or any active maintainer is still around, we would be grateful if they could respond here within two weeks. If no response is received by that time, we will follow the guidelines outlined at
https://www.drupal.org/docs/develop/managing-a-drupalorg-theme-module-or...
and move this issue to the Drupal.org project ownership queue.
Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to maintaining and evolving the Intranet project for the benefit of the Drupal community.
Best regards,
Grzegorz Bartman

avpadernoMay you provide the link to the project page?
grzegorz.bartman commentedCurrently, the project is in a private repository.
Here you can see quick demo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Y_NHEpFXkU
Here we will publish it on Wednesday/Thursday for testing https://www.drupal.org/sandbox/grzegorzbartman/3513334
We want to publish it as a distribution to have a usage statistics page (like we have with Droopler https://www.drupal.org/project/usage/droopler), so it is important to know what namespace we will have :) As I know namespace on drupal.org should be the same as the installation profile name in the code in the git repository.

avpadernoThis is the message I sent.
The status has been changed because we are waiting for a reply.
Please post a comment after 14 days, if your offer has not been declined. It will show you are still interested in maintaining this project and it will serve as reminder an action is required for this offer.

jvizcarrondo commentedHello everyone
Unfortunately, I am unable to accept the request to change the project owner:
This project contains modules that are still used in some government institutions in my country, and its location within drupal.org is a commonly used reference for them (government institutions).
Additionally, a version that works for Drupal 10.x is currently in testing and will be released to this project https://www.drupal.org/project/intranet in the near future.
With this comment I reject the change of ownership of the Intranet project (https://www.drupal.org/project/intranet).

Juan Vizcarrondo

grzegorz.bartman commentedThank you for your response! I understand the situation. If anything changes in the future, please let me know – we'd be happy to help or take over the project.
By the way, our own intranet is already available as open source, so the community can freely use it.
