Problem/Motivation

Hello,

I am using the Layout Builder Reorder module on a client project for more than a year, and some dev on my project's team contributed some patches/MR:
- #3407858: Fixes according to drupal/core #3134371 issue

I would like to help in maintaining the project, because I would like to prepare support in UI Suite Bootstrap for the module and for that I need to prepare some changes and clean up the issue queue before. So after that, I will be able to use the module on some other projects of mine like Sobki Bootstrap.

Currently the latest commit from the 1.0.x branch is from 2023/07/19 (1.5 years old) while there are issues in RTBC in the issue queue. And the module is not marked for D11 compatibility.

I had contacted the project owner @aspilicious using his drupal.org contact form on 2025/01/30 asking if the module was still maintained and that I can help on the module maintenance, without reply since then. I can copy/paste the message if needed for the record.

Proposed resolution

I would like to push the project forward by:
- cleaning the issue queue
- adding D11 compatilibity
- prepare for changes in Core and make theming override easier for themes.

Remaining tasks

Waiting for maintainer's reply.

This is the message I sent to aspilicious.

Project moderators will not remove the existing maintainers/co-maintainers; the project owner will not be replaced either. Maintainers cannot change the project owner; co-maintainers/maintainers can only be removed/added by people who have the permission to administer co-maintainers/maintainers.

As last note: This offer is about being maintainer, which is different from being co-maintainer. A maintainer is a person who has all the drupal.org permissions on a project: Write to VCS, Edit project, Administer maintainers, Maintain issues, Administer releases. A person who does not have all those permissions is a co-maintainer.
If there is any reason for not giving all those permissions, please explain that on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3502474. We need this to know it was intentional and not a misunderstanding on what the offer required.

Best regards,

Hello,

Thanks @avpaderno.

As per your previous comment, here is the comment after 14 days, to remind that I am still interested and I have not received any news from the maintainer.

I noticed I quoted just part of the message I sent, but the sent message was complete. (I just had issues in copy-pasting the message from Edge, which seems to no longer have a shortcut to select all the text in a text area.)

I added grimreaper as maintainer.

Thanks a lot @avpaderno!
