Problem/Motivation

The current implementation does not retain previously selected media types when selecting a different media type within the same category.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable the Acquia DAM module.
  2. Authenticate and authorize the user.
  3. Navigate to the Bulk Import page (/admin/config/acquia-dam/bulk-import).
  4. Attempt to add multiple media types sequentially within the same category.

Please refer to the screenshot for the discrepancy in the display and the message.

Proposed resolution

Ensure that previously selected media types remain visible when selecting a different media type within the same category.

Would like to suggest a modification to the current asset import process. Instead of importing assets at the moment a form is saved, we propose implementing the import functionality via a scheduled cron job.

This adjustment aims to enhance system performance and reliability during the import process. We believe this change could lead to more efficient resource management and a smoother user experience.

The importer tool does say under the category selection text:

"List of categories in the remote DAM system available for the authorized user account. Please choose which of them the media assets should be imported from. When adding the same category multiple times, only the last row of them will be considered and saved. "
