Problem/Motivation

We want Drupal CMS to shine when compared to other CMS, so lets set a goal explicitly to comply with 100% of Google Lighthouse scores. Certainly for the public facing pages.

I just did a local install using ddev. The results were impressive, but not perfect.

Steps to reproduce

  • Install Drupal
  • Add some content
  • Run Google Lighthouse
  • Look at scores

Proposed resolution

I like the idea here of running Unlighthouse regularly:
https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal_cms/issues/3479394

Lighthouse was also mentioned here:
https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal_cms/issues/3467873

This issue would have been caught earlier (only accessibility error caught on this page):
https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal_cms/issues/3500063

User interface changes

There are other issues, but the main thing is to set a goal and build mechanisms to stick to it.
