Project: https://www.drupal.org/project/route_basic_auth

I use this module in a large project where it meets the requirements perfectly and I recently reached for it while working on a proposal to find that it has largely fallen out of use. I suspect this will primarily be because there have been no releases to keep it compatible with Drupal core.

I am a seasoned Drupal contributor with maintainership of several contributed already, along with the vetted ability to opt-in to security coverage.

I would like to offer to take over maintainership of this module.

I am contacting the project maintainers. This is the message I sent to orlando.thoeny.

Hello Orlando,

I am contacting you because Max (https://www.drupal.org/u/darvanen) offered to become maintainer for Route Basic Authentication (https://www.drupal.org/project/route_basic_auth), a project you created for which you are project owner and maintainer.

May you post a comment on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3450495 about accepting or declining the offer? Please do not reply via email; we need a reply on the offer issue. In the case you accept the offer, you can also add Max as maintainer.
Without a comment posted on that issue in the next 14 days, Max will be probably made maintainer.

Neither project moderators nor site moderators will remove the existing maintainers/co-maintainers; the project owner will not be replaced either. Maintainers cannot change the project owner; co-maintainers/maintainers can only be removed/added by people who have the permission to administer co-maintainers/maintainers.

I am contacting all the people who can administer co-maintainers/maintainers for the project.

Best regards,
Alberto Paderno
