quietone Hi
Griffyn Heels Griff Aus
jibran Hello!
lendude Morning
dww Derek (dww)
urvashi_vora Hello

0️⃣.5️⃣ Hopefully everyone had a nice break at the end of the year. Did you get up to anything interesting?

quietone Our car was written off and we rushed to buy a replacement to take advantage of the 'clean car rebate' the national government removed at the end of the year.
larowlan oh that's a shame, but sounds like it turned out okay?
Griffyn Heels Was pretty nice in Sydney, not too hot, watched a lot of cricket and did some puzzles
jibran I watched cricket at MCG but didn't end up going to SCG because it ended before I got free.
quietone Yes, it turned out OK and, so far, we are happy with our used Toyota Yaris.
lendude Rain, rain and more rain here, so stayed inside and played a whole lot of boardgames (same thing as I would have done had the sun been out  )
urvashi_vora Same, just Raining randomly here with a lots and lots of cold breezes
dww My best friend since 3rd grade (!) and his wife came to visit, which was great. We almost threw a party on New Years Eve, but I came down with something (not COVID this time, but I was sick enough to postpone). Still congested, but finally improving.Just before that, we were taken on an exclusive / semi-private tour of the inside of the Keck Observatory at the top of Mauna Kea.  Both my friend + his wife work for LIGO, and my neighbor's nephew works at Keck, and everything worked out just right for the tour to happen.  We got to take a "$135 million selfie" on the primary mirror array that they had swung around to be directly across from where we were standing during part of the tour. It was a super amazing nerd-out experience all around. We reflected that the site is both profoundly sacred to the Kanaka Maoli (indigenous Hawaiian people), and to the global astronomy community (and beyond).  It really was like being inside a temple, one that was built without permission, but a temple nonetheless.  It was also a fascinating juxtaposition of intense natural beauty and wildly complex scientific beauty.
dww @xjm I know you normally don't go for pings, but I thought you'd be interested in ^ (and maybe you wanna come say hi to this #bugsmash meeting...)

1️⃣ Do you have suggested topics you are looking to discuss? Post in this thread and we’ll open threads for them as appropriate.

2️⃣.1️⃣ Wins - what wins have you had since the last meeting? Share your successes!

lendude #1349080: node_access filters out accessible nodes when node is left joined the most followed bug in core became the most followed fix in core!

2️⃣.2️⃣ Thanks - a space for callouts to other contributors who’ve helped you

2️⃣.3️⃣ Blockers - what’s getting in the way of your issues / goals

2️⃣.4️⃣ Approve last fortnight's minutes

dww There are 3 old meetings that have issues that are still active:[#3401991]I missed all 3 meetings, but a quick skim seems reasonable for all of them.  Anyone want to do a more thorough review before we mark them fixed, or should we just plow ahead?
larowlan oh thanks for going back to get those, I got waylaid yesterday
larowlan +1 to mark them fixed
dww Heh, "every 2nd Tuesday" means that for Feb, we're landing on Carnival :tada:  Happy Mardi Gras, let's smash some bugs.
dww For Lent, I'm giving up the need to patch bugs in Drupal core in my composer.json files:joy:

3️⃣ Core bug statistics - current state of open bugs

4️⃣ Update on the one :o: - see above, some more progress this week

quietone There are 13 unresolved threads. Some of those are easy fixes I made from larowlan's review. Someone could review those and, hopefully, mark those threads 'resolved.
larowlan I think only you and I can mark them resolved because of gitlab permissions issues
quietone Oh, after all this time I didn't realize that.
larowlan let me find the gitlab feature request, had some updates overnight
larowlan https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/342884#note_1718372688
dww There's also #3392124: [policy] Subsystem maintainer permissions on GitLab to at least let all subsystem maintainers help (like we can with issue credits in the d.o issue UI).
dww But yeah, I'm too slammed for focused effort to either address or resolve the remaining threads.  Hopefully "soon" :crossed_fingers: .
dww At least tests are green again...
larowlan 5️⃣ Help me - Is there anything you could use a :hand:

6️⃣  PMNMI issues that we can close this fortnight https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/search/drupal?text=&assigned=&subm...

darvanen That's a big list, is this the first time we're doing this in the meeting? I've been a bit absent of late
larowlan The list is basically stuff we can revisit and if a second person can't reproduce it, we can close - we have a template here https://www.drupal.org/community-initiatives/bug-smash-initiative/issue-...…]sue-after-a-year
quietone The above link is missing 11.x.  Try this one.
larowlan ah, my meeting template is out of date
larowlan this one has sorting
larowlan updated my template
