Hi, I'm working on a D9 / 10 Tableau integration module that we would like to contribute back and since this namespace is taken but doesn't seem to be active, I'm interested in using it for publishing an updated version. Two weeks have passed without an answer from the module maintainer.
https://www.drupal.org/project/media_tableau
Thanks in advance!
Transfer ownership of the Tableau namespace to javi-er.
I have contacted the project owner twice now with no response after 14 days each time.
My intention is keep supporting the existing D7 version until end of life as well.

gisleTo take over an obsolete project's namespave, please follow the procedure outlined here: Taking over an obsolete project's namespace.
There is no record anywhere of you having sent a PM to the current owner. For you to be able to complete this step, I've moved this issue back to the project's own issue queue. See "Remaining tasks" in the issue summary for an outline of the process.

gisleCorrect project name in title.

javi-er commented@gisle thank you for looking at it, I followed the steps 1-6 on the article you linked, two weeks have passed now and that's why I moved it to "Drupal.org project ownership". Since I can't see messages that I have sent to other users, I'm not 100% if I contacted him, but I just did again just in case.

gisleStep 3 in the article I linked says:
See also item #3 under "Remaining tasks" in the issue summary.
I understand that the motivation for the request is not to continue maintenance of the current Drupal 7 project, but to create a brand new implementation of the use case compatible with Drupal 9 and 10. That's fine. There is no obligation for a new owner to keep maintaining the legacy version. However, Drupal 7 is still a supported version of Drupal (until November), and I want to make sure that the current owner has a fair chance to step forward and declare that they intend to continue supporting the legacy version.

javi-er commentedThanks for the support @gisle, I have contacted the project owner again and waited more than 14 days once again, I updated the issue summary to mention this.
I also plan on keep supporting the D7 version until end of life.

gisleLooking at the project's maintainers.json, I see that you're already a co-maintainer with the following permissions:
This means that you already have all permissions necessary to create a new Drupal 9/10 compatible branch of the project, and to administer a Drupal 9/10 release.
However, I understand that this request is for ownership to be transferred to you. I have today sent this PM:
Postponing for now, since we're waiting for a reply. You can set status back to "Active" on August 7 if there is no reply.
