i have drupal 6.5 installed.

i downloaded drupal 6.6

replaced alll my files by new files except modules and sites directory,

went to update page.

it says no updates found,.

i went to site.

it still says 6.5 in status report

First Read Upgrade File, You will get everything from there.

override all folders except sites folder.
then run update.php.

Work Hard to understand what you have to do b4 U start, You may not be able to develop every detail but the more U know the less risk you take.
