Dear Drupal community,

I have read a lot of the Drupal documentation but I have a problem for which I can't find a solution in the documentation. I'm running an audiowebsite, Audiofreaks and on the frontpage I publish news and reviews. The news consist of a teaser text + image and if you click through you open the full article. The reviews consist of a teaser text + image and if you click through the review opens, a review can have more than one page.

What I want is a frontpage that is divided in two columns. The left column has 5 news teasers and the right column has 5 review teasers. The newest items are placed on top. Can anyone give me a hint how I can accomplish this ?

Thanks for your help,

Cheers,

Ron

Apparently this is going to be easy with the immanent drupal 4.7 but I'm going to tell you to wait for 4.7 cos I hate it when people say that to me!

so, for the mean time, did you notice this new thread ? http://drupal.org/node/33565#comment-59738

superficially (which is the extent of my understanding) it would appear to illustrate how you can load your teasers into table cells, though it's not very W3C.

good luck

Thank you John. That is going to work for me. Because I'm new to Drupal I thought there might be a more elegant solution but this is fine for me, does the job ;)

Yep its very do-able. How are the news and reviews different? I mean, is one say, a flexinode called news? Or perhaps, assigned a term 'news'? Or is one simply a story and the other a page? Let me know and I'll write it for you - then just let me know how you want it changed and well... Yeah, I'll try my best to change it.

Feeling very helpful today.
