Problem/Motivation

Currently Project Browser takes its logo from the first image on the project page. However, that is not envisioned as a permanent solution,as discussed on issue #3322594: Update project detail page layout & elements, and initial implementation work on #3334783: Integrate GitLab Logo png to Drupal.org D7 project pages.

Currently the most likely method will be to add the image to the root of the project repository with the filename "logo.png". This is the same method used by GitLab for it's project loco, so there's no downside to adding it.

Steps to reproduce

Proposed resolution

Add logo from #3329936: Add a Project Logo to root of repository with the filename "logo.png".

Currently the most likely method...

OK then let's wait for this to be definite, rather than acting on likely guesses.

Project browser moved to using logos from the project repository a while back.

The advice is now:

MAINTAINERS: The logo should be added to the root folder of the repo, and be named logo.png. This must be present on your project’s default branch. This is the logo that will be displayed on the cards in the Project Browser grid and list views.
If you previously added a logo as the first image in the Images field on your project page, please remove it. Project Browser will no longer be using the first image as the logo.
