smustgrave has been doing great work in the core issue queue and for the bugsmash initiative.
He's worked on a lot of triage, reviews and patches in the block content module so I approached him to ask if he'd be interested in being a co-maintainer.

Yes, I support this proposal.

I have particularly noticed that they have maintained composure when faced with a lot of RTBC issues being kicked back. I was aware of this because it was me doing the kicking back. It is disheartening to see your work pushed back, yet they persisted, were polite and worked to resolve the problems to get issues ready for a committer.

Is the BDFL’s approval necessary for subsystem maintainers? Looking at recent additions, only a committer does so.
