Drupal Usability Meeting 2022-08-26

The list of open issues from last week:

#3206643: Project messaging channel in core (as experimental)

and an issue we've reviewed in july got retagged for another round of review few minutes ago:

#3258987: Status report should warn about OPcache bug in PHP 8.1.0 to 8.1.5

We discussed two issues:

#2980299: Layout Builder cannot be uninstalled while overrides exist; no easy way to revert all overrides: were not able to come to a consensus and agreed to bring this issue back at next week's meeting, we word-smithed some text changes, and @DyanneNova agreed to work on some mock-ups for how we might rearrange the Layout Builder section of the Manage Display form.

For the record, some of the text changes we discussed included: shortening the revert button text to simply be "Revert layout overrides" and reorganising the text on the confirm form, specifically moving "Are you sure you want to" text to the page content next to "This action cannot be undone.", so it would read "Are you sure you want to proceed. This action cannot be undone." thus making the title shorter and easier to parse (However we agreed that changes to the confirm form would need to be a separate issue as it follows a standard pattern).
