Problem/Motivation

There's no clear path to release.

Many organizations are restricted from adopting contributed packages and modules that are not a stable release or under security review.

As of this posting, the issue queue has tickets as old as 1 year and 10 months that could use gardening.

Proposed resolution

Help the community know which tickets to prioritize.

It would be great if there was a roadmap to identify which existing or new issues need to be completed in order to get over the release hurdle.

Remaining tasks

  • [ ] Attempt to replicate existing bug issues and close any that cannot be replicated.
  • [ ] Prioritize (low or high) issues and feature requests based on their pertinence to release 1.0.0.
  • [ ] Mark items necessary for release as "Release blocking" and "release 1.0.0"

Because this is at RC3, can we assume all road map items are feature complete, and this is bug discovery time?

If so, can we get any idea about planned timeline or necessary bug discovery steps that the community can step up to address?

Looking at the component namespace conflicts and case issues, I think before a 1.0 release goes out, there should probably be tests.

When we can have the stable version 1.0.0 for this module. Any pending issues blocking the release?

@SHIJU: There is one issue(#3161564) preventing the release of the stable version of 1.0.0.

There are still no tests for this module. Until this is done, there shouldn't be a full release.
