I have completely rewritten this module to be more feature-complete and have a cleaner architecture, this is why I would like to take over maintainership. During the past years it hasn't really been maintained, even though it's far from feature complete.

At the time of writing, all issues in the issue queue would be fixed or become irrelevant after my rewrite:

The code for the rewrite can be found here. This new version of the module is supported by Wieni and is used on a lot of our sites, so we know it's solid. My plan of action for after I become maintainer is outlined here.

On October 6 I tried to contact the maintainer, tregismoreira, through the Contact tab on his profile, but I haven't received an answer yet.
