RSVP List - Repondez, s'il vous plaît has been automatically opened to new maintainer applications, as it will otherwise become unsupported with the end of life of Drupal 8 on 2 Nov, 2021.
This is an adaptation of our existing process for transferring project maintainership.
After the standard 14-day waiting period from this issue being opened, if an existing maintainer has not closed it, this project is eligible for new maintainers, without necessarily waiting for existing maintainers’ approval.
Next steps:
- An existing maintainer may close this issue and opt out of this accelerated process.
- A prospective new maintainer can take this issue after the 14 day window has
elapsed and take the following steps to be added as a maintainer:- Comment here explaining why you would like to maintain the module.
- If the project is opted in to security coverage, confirm that you have previously received security coverage opt-in permission.
- If an existing maintainer has not commented, move the issue to the Drupal.org Project Ownership queue, by editing the “Project” field on this issue.
- The Drupal.org site moderators will review the issue, and if it meets the requirements can grant you maintainer access.

axbSince I did the tutorial, was going to see if I can update this to Drupal 10 or 11 supported.I should probably use a different issue for updating the module to Drupal 10/11.

axbI contributed some code to update the module to Drupal 10 support, and opened a pull request (https://git.drupalcode.org/project/rsvplist/-/merge_requests/1)
Since this module is closely related to the Acquia module development course, I think it would be a good contrib module to work on after completing the module training course.
The project is not opted in to security coverage at this time.
I would like to apply for security coverage and use this module as a project to learn how to get it covered.Comment #4

avpadernoYou cannot use a project where most of the code has been committed/written by somebody else, to get the permission to opt projects into security advisory policy.
axbFair enough, will opt out of security coverage until / if the code is rewritten. Thank you.

gisleYou cannot use the accelerated process for ownership transfer, only to be added as maintainer.
gisleI have added alexb7217 as maintainer.

axbThank you.
I am unclear on the process. Did I request ownership by putting this issue into the Drupal.org Project Ownership queue?
gisleNo, you requested ownership by selecting component "Ownership transfer".
axbOk, I see now. Thank you for the clarification.
