| thejimbirch | Good Morning! |
| mherchel | morning! |
| Sarah Corbine | Hi all |
| shaal | Hello :blob_wave: |
| Zhe Zhang | Morning |
| gaurav mahlawat | hello |
| mtift | This tread is for discussing the overall status of the Olivero initiative and where we're going in broad terms. We'll save specific issue discussions for later threads. The META issue is here: #3177296: [META] Make Olivero stable |
| mherchel | #3177296: [META] Make Olivero stable |
| mherchel | Right now, we have one outstanding issue that I just submitted a patch on last night |
| mherchel | We also need to do lots of browser testing and I still need to get on to creating a script so people can do it. |
| mherchel | But we’re doing good. We have several RTBC issues ready and several more that are very close. We still need a bit of attention from core committers (but hopefully we’re getting some on Thurs) |
| Andy | when’s the 9.3 deadline? |
| mherchel | late Oct |
| thejimbirch | Browser testing. Are there some examples for this for past endeavors that we could use? |
| mherchel | no clue |
| Andy | Just went digging into the bartick, seven, claro, and umami issue queues and none of them have issues specifically for browser testing the project as a whole. |
| Andy | Was there a specific maintainer that said we needed whole-project browser testing or is that an issue we put on ourselves? |
| Andy | https://www.drupal.org/node/3079238Contributors manually test significant changes in multiple browsers to watch for regressions, but this is somewhat based on the contributors available and the particular issue. We do not yet have full automated browser testing for our supported browsers. This sounds like browser testing is required for each individual feature, but not necessarily as a whole. |
| thejimbirch | Yeah, I couldn’t find anything either |
| thejimbirch | I am going to move your notes here into the issue @Andy. If a maintainer did suggest this, maybe they can advise. |
| mtift | This thread is the place to bring up specific issues that need some extra discussion |
| mherchel | @lauriii @bnjmnm can we do a 20 min call to all get on the same page about [#3223271]I feel this issue is spinning around over the course of weeks and there’s no end in site. |
| bnjmnm | Happy to - my availability for Zoom(ish) meetings may be tough the next few days as I have a kid home from daycare who will insist to participate if he notices I'm talking to people online. |
| gaurav mahlawat | #3226047: Olivero: Remove svg from block--system-powered-by-block.html.twig file I create this issue to optimise the twig code and keep all the svg’s in one folder. Is this issue still valid? |
| mtift | Suggestions welcome! |
| Andy | There are a number of should-have issues that still need to be completed.#3177296: [META] Make Olivero stable |
