If you follow all the upgrade steps listed on the CCK home page but fail to actually enable the CCK module, you get the errors in the attached picture.

The problem is that the error for the key content module is blank. It, too, should warn that the CCK module is not actually enabled.

Title: Missing error text when 5>6 upgrade attempted when CCK not enabled » Missing information text on update 6000 when content.module not enabled
Priority: Normal » Minor

Strictly speaking, these are not error messages but information messages.
True, there should be a message for content_update_6000 too.

Setting to 'minor', as it occurs when the user does not follow the instructions :-)

Aren Cambre: Can you confirm which cck modules were enabled when you got that message ?
content.module enabled and field modules disabled ?
none enabled ?

Never mind, found it. Should be fixed in -dev now.
Thks for reporting.

Thanks.

As for following instructions, highly usable software doesn't require pre-read instructions. :-)

Probably true, but trust us, there's no way to make the CCK upgrade path 'highly usable'...
That's just the way it is.

I hear you, and I appreciate that you're trying to make it as clear as possible.
