mherchel	Does anyone have any objections? We’ve had a couple people ask generic D9 theming questions in here
mherchel	My guess is that they searched for a channel and found us
mherchel	We’d also need to update the documentation wherever it exists
thejimbirch	Would we want to clarify that it is for the Olivero theme?
thejimbirch	That is the actual component name

mtift	This tread is for discussing the overall status of the Olivero initiative and where we're going in broad terms. We'll save specific issue discussions for later threads.
mherchel	Not too much of a change from last meeting. We have several stable blocking issues RTBC, so we’re waiting for some core committer time. But that’ll come in a bit.
mherchel	In the meantime, there are several issues to work on that are stable blocking. Specifically the tech debt issues listed in #3177296: [META] Make Olivero stable
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him)	core has been mostly frozen for security releases and the RC last week (which slipped to this week)
mherchel	Thanks for the context. Thanks for all the hard work
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him)	Since Olivero now has a good chance to become stable in 9.3, it would be great to work out if there are missing criteria for becoming default. There are only a couple issues listed there.
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him)	If that is the gap, it may not be a far shot to make it the default in 9.3 :slightly_smiling_face:
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him)	I would personally not hold making it the default until Drupal 10, users deserve sooner :smile: Also Bartik would still stay around in Drupal 9 and only be removed in Drupal 10.
mherchel	yeah, i don’t see it too much more work past becoming stable. Maybe we can set up a brainstorming meeting when you have time

mherchel	@brianperry FYI, @mtift left a comment on #3174107: Add additional testing coverage for Olivero. I know this issue is an enormous amount of work (twice!), and I want to make sure this doesn’t get neglected and stale.
brianperry	You and me both :slightly_smiling_face: I'll make the update. If my memory serves me it was a really small change.

mherchel	#3212975: Olivero: Normalize JavaScript selectors in messages.es6.js needs tests and there are some functional test examples linked. Maybe @mtift?
