In 10.1.x we have added ultimate cron & advanced queue
We have used the default settings of ultimate cron, so depending on your cron set-up it might be good to revisit your cron settings as the defaults of the module allow every cron to run at a 15 min interval.
You can so so at /admin/config/system/cron/jobs
