1️⃣ Overall project status update

mtift This tread is for discussing the overall status of the Olivero initiative in broad terms, and we'll save specific issue discussions for later threads.
mherchel Overall, we’re making progress. Still on track for stability by 9.2 (I believe)
mherchel We’ve had a number of accessibility issues come up that are really difficult but we’re making progress

2️⃣ Individual issue discussion

katannshaw My issue was moved to "Needs work" #3192656: Text inputs can create horizontal scrolling at narrow viewports in Olivero with a suggested changed from kostyashupenko Feedback on that idea would be welcome.

mherchel I could use a review on #3191716: Opening desktop dropdown menu using pointer device requires two taps/clicks
mherchel I’m also planning on bringing #3153260: Standardize Olivero's focus states across all non-form controls to Accessibility Office Hours this Thursday evening. tl;dr I’d really like to use the :focus-within selector within Olivero, but maintainers are worried that it’s not accessible enough
proeung I'd like to get a new patch submitted for this issue (#3182242: Theme 404 "Page not found" and 403 "Forbidden/Access denied" pages#comment-13956294), if anyone is available to take a look.
thejimbirch I made a MR per Alex Pott's request on #3182711: Help block is placed into help region, but that doesn’t exist#comment-13956360

mherchel Still need work on #3174107: Add additional testing coverage for Olivero
mherchel #3192903: Mouseout event should not close navigation sub-menu if focus is inside the sub-menu should be an easy JS fix
proeung We have several issues that are marked as "Needs work" (see link - https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/drupal?status=13&component=Olivero...). I think it would be great if these are updated with new patches so that they're ready for the sprint review/RTBC this Friday. (edited)
Andrei Zvonkov I am looking for a “starter” issue on the visual side of things. I’ve been trying to get set up and hoping to get a bit more time that I can commit. I will probably need some guidance in terms of submitting things too.
