there are no viable releases available for download,
it's for Drupal 4.6,
Nothing's happened in the issue queue for a while,
The functionality appears to have been overtaken in the last 3 years with CCK and views and CivicCRM and things...

... Is it time to put this project to sleep as per http://drupal.org/node/251466 ?

The Contact Directory module appears to be abandoned...
The maintainer hasn't responded and the only versions of this module are for Drupal 4.6.x.
