is '[0-1]+' no longer accepted a string?

Drupal 8.8.9 was installed on my composer update

i was just installing additional modules using Drush.

I had to placce a simple print_r($value) ini the collectionValidator.php file.

I experienced this problem when installing the contrib module plugin. Plugin is required for currency and payment.
