Layout Builder Backgrounds

This module provides the ability to add images, solid colors, and other unique backgrounds to any Layout Builder section. It is presently in active development.

Similar Modules

Several modules provide related or similar functionality but take different approaches.

• Layout BG works by using a new background region in layout plugins, but requires modification of all layouts to work. Layout Builder Backgrounds does not require any modification of existing layouts, and is therefore compatible out-of-the-box with existing custom layouts, or other modules that provide Layouts (such as Bootstrap Layouts).
• Layout Builder Styles allows the selection of pre-defined styles (CSS classes and templates) for Layout Builder blocks and sections. These classes can then be used with theme-specified CSS. In contrast, Layout Builder Backgrounds does not require predefined styles and allows site builders to add and edit unique backgrounds (on-the-fly) for any layout section.
