This module allows the moderator to view the recently uploaded images by the users for their account. The moderator can either approve or disapprove the images based on the site policy. The approved image will be published in the user's account across the site.

How they're different

1) Avatar approval module generates an md5 hash value for every image uploaded, thereby the images that have already gone through the moderation process will directly show on the user's profile. Since the hash value is tied to the file name, it is inoperative when the file name changes. To avoid this conflict this module sends all the uploaded image for moderation.
2) The workflow doesn't place a temp image while the uploaded image is sent for moderation instead the uploaded image is stored with permanent status and appears on the user's profile when approved from the moderator.
3)The user is intimated about the status of the approval workflow during their login, using the status message, and so when the user's image is disapproved, their current image is retained.

We just accept applications from users who don't have the vetted role. Any application created after the role is given is closed as Closed (duplicate) (if a previous application is found) or Closed (won't fix).

The purpose of these applications is not reviewing every project users create, but reviewing a single project created from users who aren't vetted users to make them able to opt into security review coverage for their (past and future) projects.
