1️⃣ Path to beta: #3111409: Add new Olivero frontend theme to Drupal 9.1 core as beta (edited)

mherchel	We have a list of beta requirements at #3111409: Add new Olivero frontend theme to Drupal 9.1 core as beta
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him)	now that Drupal 9 beta is this week, Olivero has no chance of getting into Drupal 9.0.0 proper, but Drupal 9.1 branch will open alongside the Drupal 9 beta being released, so that allows you to land there anytime ready :slightly_smiling_face:
mherchel	I personally haven’t been too involved in this (it’s been mostly @Putra Bonaccorsi) but @andrewmacpherson added a comment that we need to flesh out #3083081: Additional accessibility testing on design of new theme
mherchel	@Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) yep, I saw that! Good job on getting everything done!
mherchel	and honestly, it takes a lot of pressure off of us, now that there’s no super-duper rush for 9.0
mherchel	which is nice with the current pandemic situation
mherchel	That all being said, we can still push forward quickly. This may open up options to get additional features into the initial release of the theme (such as dark mode)
mherchel	and of course, the theme will be available in contrib for both 8.x and 9.x

Putra Bonaccorsi	@mherchel Correct me, if I'm wrong. We were scheduled to do another sprinting at Drupal Dev Days, however, with the conference being postponed due to the outbreak, we're still looking to do virtual sprinting.
Putra Bonaccorsi	I'm hoping to take a couple of days off during that time and really focus on getting majority of these theming components done.

2️⃣ Issue updates and discussion

mherchel	My primary task this week is to import all the styles/js/markup into the theme
mherchel	I want to move ALL development into the theme, and cease work on the PoC
mherchel	I also want to state that there’s a number of standard theming tickets at https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/olivero

brianperry	I was looking to pick up something new this week. Thinking I might jump on the warning/error messages (https://www.drupal.org/node/3118063) although happy to focus on something else if someone wants to point me in a different direction.

jackh	Post-meeting update from me: Got started on form elements last night ( #3117242: Theme/style the Form elements ), hoping to have it reviewable by end of current sprint. (edited)

3️⃣ Virtual sprints!

mherchel	@Putra Bonaccorsi and I were talking about taking a day or so off from work and doing a virtual sprint (in place of Dev Days)
mherchel	Still very much a “thought”… but is anyone interested?

Gábor Hojtsy (he/him)	I think it would be great :slightly_smiling_face: Not Olivero related, but I plan to try to promote and beef up the midcamp contribution day this weekend to attract people to work on rector tooling (Drupal 8 to 9 code automation), and can share experiences later on in terms of what worked for this at least.
brianperry	I'd have to coordinate with work/project commitments but also interested if I can make that happen.
Putra Bonaccorsi	I'm thinking of taking work on the 6th!
mherchel	that’s what I’m thinking because that was the week of Drupal Dev Days
brianperry	I'll be participating in the MidCamp contribution day as well.

brianperry	It is this Saturday the 21st.

brianperry	Planning for it has been a little wild for the obvious reasons, but at the very least we should learn quite a bit about trying to make a virtual event like this happen.

Putra Bonaccorsi	@mherchel Perhaps, we can do one during MidCamp as well? It doesn't hurt to get more stuff done before the dev days.

brianperry	@Putra Bonaccorsi and @mherchel if you do want to do something during MidCamp, let me know. I can help coordinate. We have some other initiatives planned, but I'm sure the more the merrier. At the very least I'll be working on Olivero during the contrib day.
starshaped (she/her)	I will probably be around on the 21st to attend the MidCamp contribution day too. I would be interested in finally digging into Olivero!
vijaycs85	I would like to be part of virtual sprint and happy to pick up any novice task meanwhile to start with.
