Is anybody busy with or has anybody developed a touch-screen (as interface instead of keyboard and mouse) module?

You dont need a module
You don't need a module for this, please don't post three times in a row either its wasteful. You don't need a module for this because people access Drupal through a browser, the user interface involved with a touch screen device is the operating systems responsibility not the browser's. No one has answered this question in two years because it is one of those very very rare, stupid questions. You might consider making a module that adds a block to every page to facilitate typing (ie javascript + links keyboard) for devices with only touch screen interfacing, but again this is probably unnecessary because the operating system of the device usually handles touch screen keyboards.
A module no, but a theme yes.
I agree that a module isn't very useful nor necessary for this purpose.
However a theme that is spesifically designed to function in touchscreen devices is a welcome possibility to any site out there. Touch-technology is making its way to home computing (and with HPs TouchSmart series has already arrived there) so the need for a touch-friendly theme is evident.
I have HPs TouchSmart computers at my disposal and using Drupal with them is generally a pretty decent experience, but the links are smallish for a big male finger. (These things also depend on the technology used, the devices resolution etc..) Creating a theme with larger links for more comfort for the touch interface is an excellent step towards the right direction.
