This notice about Matomo Analytics is posted to comply with the procedures for Dealing with unsupported (abandoned) projects.
It is posted to inquire whether the project is still being maintained.
If there is no response within two weeks, this issue will be moved to the Drupal.org project ownership issue queue with a recommendation that the project is officially marked as unsupported so that somebody else can step forward and take over maintainership.
The reason for asking this question is because all recent commits was done by hass, who no longer has access to this site.
I am unable to PM the current owner (hass) about this notice as his profile page is currently blocked (see related issue #3083289: Has this account been deleted?). Since the Community Working has declined to comment on the matter, there is no way of knowing whether the project maintainer shall ever be able to resume his duties.

gisleTwo weeks has passed with no response from present owner. Moving issue to Drupal.org project ownership issue according to the procedures for Dealing with unsupported (abandoned) projects.
Recommending that the project is officially marked as unsupported so that somebody else can step forward and take over maintainership.

avpadernoI am not sure on how we should proceed in this case, and what to do in the case the project owner's account is later unblocked. Clearly, the project owner cannot reply to any issue posted for the project, except in the case he creates a new account (which would be probably seen as a temptative to workaround the block).
Do you think the project should be marked as abandoned and the ownership given to the Unsupported Projects account until the project owner's account is re-enabled?
gisleYes. By marking it as abandoned and giving ownership given to the Unsupported Projects account, it opens up for a well-defined procedure that make the current status clear. This allow prospective users to know about the hazards of using the project, and serves as a beacon that may attract a new maintainer to the project.
This is an important project with nearly 10 000 installs, so I would hate to become fully unsupported over night due to a security issue.
From what I understand, the probability of the present owner ever returning to Drupal.org in the near future is not high, so we need to handle this in a way to minimize the potential of disruption, and marking it as abandoned is IMHO the best way to proceed.
If the present owner returns at some point, I am sure we can restore ownership if he requests it.
It would have been nice if some other person than the owner may seek for a co-maintainers in this issue queue. Then we would not have to remove ownership to seek a new maintainer. However, since this is not permitted (see: #3094434: Seeking new maintainer for Matomo Analytics) – we need to go down the route of re-assigning ownership to the "Unsupported Projects" account in order to make progress.
