Who’s here today? Comment in the thread below if you’d like to introduce yourself and share the last time you were on two wheels…
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
Jennifer, Spokane USA, I regularly ride a recumbent bicycle, but was away for most of Sept, so my last ride was in early September sometime. https://www.hpvelotechnik.com/produkte/ghp/index_e.html is the model of bike. :) (edited)

Rachel, back in the UK. I was exceedingly privileged last week to borrow a friend’s motorbike and ride up into British Columbia to Whistler and around. Loved it! :flag-ca:

Nick, he/him, Victoria BC :flag-ca:. Last night. Ain't nothing like a good ride through moderate rain to just leave you sparkling and fresh (although with muddy legs especially cause I always wear shorts for bicycling)

You could not always wear shorts if you lived in Spokane, unless you gave up riding in the spring/fall.
Nick Wilde 1 day ago
I mean this year we actually did have snow, and I did still wear shorts, because I'm the wool socks and shorts kind of fool - but yeah right on the coast here, pretty rare to get more than a degree or two below freezing.
Fabian Bircher:partywizard: 1 day ago
Fabian Bircher - CMI 2 co-lead, :flag-eu: not sure when the last time was on two wheels I yet have to acquire a bicycle and I don't have a bike any more.
Melissa Bent:fire_engine: 1 day ago
Melissa, Boise, Idaho.
Uhmmm. It’s been too long since I’ve been on two wheels. :grimacing:
mradcliffe:redpanda: 1 day ago
Matthew, Columbus, OH, catching up from lunch where oddly enough we talked about bicycles and how the old bike I have is broken. Even longer for motored variants.
:one: How are we with choosing QA tools?
Rachel Lawson 1 day ago
think Melissa is out today?
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal_org_community/issues/3072788 is the issue for that
Rachel Lawson 1 day ago
Ah yes - how on earth did I manage to lose that from my script?
Melissa Stamm 1 day ago
Hi sorry, I'm late. I thought someone in a previous meeting was working on something like a comparison matrix? I can't scroll back and find the comment
Melissa Stamm 1 day ago
I haven't yet made any notes for Grammarly (I installed the Chrome extension weeks ago and it mostly just annoys me when I'm trying to edit content - others may feel differently) :slightly_smiling_face:.
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
We had a comparison matrix in a Google doc
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
Link is in comment #3 on the issue.
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
Or was this a different type of matrix?
Melissa Stamm 1 day ago
The google doc was to collect tester feedback. I thought the matrix was supposed to rate them against each other with the goal of selecting the tool(s)...I could be remembering incorrectly
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
I missed a few meetings, so ...
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
This is why things said in the meetings need to get into issues -- Slack doesn't keep much history.
:two: This isn’t just about rebuilding what we had before: I want to try and add more detail to the outline issue over the next few days - when I get a moment!!

I am really hoping to spend time explaining my thoughts here - I just need to somehow stop other things :joy:
Nick Wilde 1 day ago
stop other things
hahahaha that sounds so ahem likely and plausible :stuck_out_tongue: (sorry)
Rachel Lawson 1 day ago
Other work!
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
we need to nail down that issue as our plan, so that we can actually start work on (a) building content types and views that we need (b) writing/adapting content.

It has been hectic with having the staff retreat last couple of weeks. Technically, I ran the meeting last week on my day off

yes - @jhodgdon (she/her) has it right. THat can be our overall plan
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
So... What do we need to add to the plan that is currently in that issue's summary?
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
Besides it being maybe short on details...are there ideas we need to incorporate, overarching goals, etc.?

Quite a lot, I think. I have a feeling that the getting involved guide needs to be more than just prose - maybe some active components that allow us to build tools that let people define roles, growth opportunities, skills etc. That;s hwo we create somethign that describes not just how to get involved but also why to get involved

I just need to offload my brain into the issue!
Rachel Lawson 1 day ago
and I recognise that it is holding us back (edited)
Rachel Lawson 1 day ago
If people can make sure everything they are aware of is in that issue above, I promise to to my bit end of next week. THings are getting easier now
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
I think all my thoughts are there.
I’m going to keep things simple this week (as it has only been a week) and go straight to
:three: Anything Else?: What else do we need to talk about?
Fabian Bircher:partywizard: 1 day ago
I have a question actually.
We are trying to add a new feature to core (ie https://www.drupal.org/project/config_exclude but not as a module but just straight available for everyone, see https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/3079029)
But the issue is "stuck" on bike-shedding for the string we want to add to the default settings..
This brought me to think about the docs guide and I have no clue where that would be best documented.
Rachel Lawson 1 day ago
Interesting question!
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
I'm not sure what your question is "where that would be best documented" -- what is "that" that you are trying to document?
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
Oh, I think you are wondering where to put docs about customizing settings.php? I think we have a page.
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
hm, cannot find that. :(
Jennifer Hodgdon 1 day ago
Should discuss that in a different thread, as it is not really relevant to this meeting.
mradcliffe:redpanda: 1 day ago
My home computer died last week and I haven't had a chance to replace it so I don't have access to a lot of things. I probably won't be very productive for a while :disappointed:
