Last commit for this module was done July 5th 2018. Multiple patches are available and at least seem RTBC. I've offered to maintain in the issue queue (see https://www.drupal.org/project/calendar/issues/3084469) and tried to contact tedbow (on September 11th, see attached file) through his personal page as he was the last active committer after the sad passing away of geertvd. I've outlined my plans in a roadmap, see https://www.drupal.org/project/calendar/issues/3084879).

As reported in Dealing with unsupported (abandoned) projects, the issue on this queue should be opened after 14 days the issue in the project queue was created, and only if the current project owner didn't reply on the issue or when contacted.

I am setting this issue as Postponed since 14 days haven't passed since the issue in the project queue was created.

The project link is https://www.drupal.org/project/calendar. Since the project opted into security coverage, the maintainers need to have the vetted role, a role you actually don't have. I also assume the account is used by a single person.

Kiamlaluno,

solide-echt is indeed used by me only (since 2016 or even earlier). Applying for the vetted role however seems te end up in a deadlock, since I need to be able to release a RC version of the module (or some module at least...). Would it be advisable I start a new project for the D8 version of Calendar?

Eric

@solide-echt You could create a sandbox project that contains the Drupal 8 port of the Calendar module and use that sandbox for the application. Once the application gets approved, and you are added as maintainer of the Calendar module, you can move the code from the sandbox project.

Since solide-echt has not been vetted, I am willing to maintain the Calendar module.

We keep an issue per user. If you want to become co-maintainer/maintainer of a project, please open a new issue, first in the project queue and then in this queue, as per Dealing with unsupported (abandoned) projects.

I sent a message to the current project owner and KarenS.

Hello Yonas,

I am writing you because solide-echt (https://www.drupal.org/u/solide-echt) offered to co-maintain the Calendar module (https://www.drupal.org/project/calendar), a project you own.

May you post a comment on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3085762 confirming you accept or decline his offer? Without a publicly visible comment on that issue, between two weeks a new co-maintainer could be appointed.

There are other users interested in co-maintaining the project. There could be other issues opened for that purpose.

Best regards,
kiamlaluno
