Over time I find that I shut down a growing number of forums, but I don't want to delete the nodes inside. So I remove all access and add something like "(CLOSED)" to the name of the forum, but having all those CLOSED forum in the forum list turns into a pain.

Of course I need to see them on the 'admin/structure/forum' page, but not on the 'forum' page.
