I did setup various conditions that work well via node/add pages, but via https://www.drupal.org/project/inline_entity_form module, where the entity form is embedded in another entity form, the condition is not triggered.

Thanks for the report. But due to inactivity in this issue for years, I will close this issue while cleaning up the issue queue. Check the related issue top right, there is a fix to be committed soon.
