Hi, and a warm welcome to the Drupal community!

need to perform below step and require more access:

Create an article and promote it on the home page.
Create an AboutUs page using the Basic Page content type, and add a menu link to the main navigation.

First, please understand that having the 'confirmed' role will not give you more access. Please see the page Become a 'confirmed' user for more information on the role.

Thanks for engaging with the community – there are quite a few channels for communication, so I'd like to help you find the right place to ask for help about creating pages, etc. Please visit http://drupal.org/support, where there is an overview of places where you can go for support.

Since you are a new user, I will also give you some advice about Issue Queue Etiquette.

  1. Please do not assign tasks to yourself unless you are in a position to do them. As you cannot assign the 'Confirmed' user role to yourself, I've unassigned you.
  2. Please do not bump the Priority when the criteria for doing so is not met. You can read about this here: https://www.drupal.org/node/45111 I've reverted the priority to "Normal".
  3. Please do not add random keywords to the "Issue tags" field. Before adding tags, read the issue tag guidelines. I've removed those you added.

Category: Task » Support request
Status: Postponed » Fixed

While the title makes the issue seem a request to get the confirmed role, the body makes the issue seem a support request for a task the user needs to do on a site he maintain. (Users cannot add links to the navigation menu, on drupal.org.)

This queue is for issues on Drupal.org and its sub-domains. For issues on sites you maintain/develop, or for generic support requests, ask on the forums.
