Hi, @jrockowitz I'd like to sponsor development of a feature of what I think would best be described as a table picker.
Or a booth picker. Or a seat picker. Or ... flag?
Basically, I need to create a kind of multiselect field that will allow users to pick one (or up to an optional number) of tables/seats/booths in a room, then disallow other users from selecting those same tables. Very much like global flags in the flag module.
It's for a conference exhibitor registration site.
To make it crazier, my use case will require me to allow users to "swap tables" at a later time - that is, if there is an open (unflagged) table out there at some future point in time, they can "unflag" one of their their existing selections, thus freeing them to select an open one. So I would want to basically be able to restrict the quantity of items that can be picked per form entry.
Crazy, right? I've been thinking about just going for it and using flag for this, but I think the D8 Webform world is so awesome, I wanted to throw it out there. If this is a whacked idea, I'm ok with rejection. But I'd like to pay to develop this feature for the rest of the world to be able to use.

jrockowitz commentedI think this feature request is similar to #3046452: Limit Select Fields Choices Based On Previous Submissions.
The concept would be apply submission limits to individual #option for radios, checkboxes, select menus, and every table select elements.
In you specific example of a table of booth selector, the submission limit for each option would be 1.
@Mile3 It would be great if you can sponsor this feature and it would be awesome contribution back to the Drupal community. Please read https://www.jrockowitz.com/blog/sponsor-a-feature.
I am about to take off for a week but I will try to scope out creating submission limit handler.

Mile3 commented@jrockowitz Thanks. Actually that post and your DrupalCon 17 presentation are what inspired me to contact you about custom development. I will post over there. We'd be happy to sponsor development.
I sincerely hope you enjoy a bit of downtime. Clearly, you work very hard!
