I wanted to offer my support in helping develop, co-maintain and manage stable releases of this module for Drupal 8. It would be useful to clear through the issues and make the necessary improvements and create a stable Drupal 8 release.

Also, I am the author and maintainer of https://www.drupal.org/project/instagram_api module, it would make sense to join forces and maintain the API in one consolidated project.

@dakku, I've taken a look at your module and it makes a lot of sense to decouple the api verification and content rendering aspects of the module.

I am happy for you to add a dependency on instagram_api and refactor the existing code to use that module to make requests.
